Eliana Angeles was born and raised in the heart of Houston, Texas—a proud descendant of Mexican and Honduran parents. I hold my family close to me because they are my motive for continuing school and, hopefully, into law school. I am currently a student at Barbara Jordan – Mickey Leland School of Public Affairs, pursuing an undergrad in Political Science with a minor in English. An aspiring lawyer in the making, working with people from my community and helping many organizations that empower minorities. For enjoyment, I love to listen to music from all genres, watch various films, and have mini-dance breaks throughout the day. I am truly honored to be part of the 2023 AfroLatinidades and to learn and gain experience with the University of  Santa Barbara staff.
