Glenda Zapata was born in La Paz, Bolivia and they study at the Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes (National Academy of Fine Arts) and previously studied at photography, performance, sound art, cataloging cultural assets workshops and is currently studying Forensic Anthropology  in Madrid. Their artistic interests are based in the search for cultural contexts, emotions and rituals of the human experience in relation with death. Despite their experience as a migrant, they are looking to give visibility to a lot of issues like immigration, people who are unhoused, the undocumented and gendered violence.
