Jasmine Benafghoul

Jasmine Benafghoul graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in June 2019 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Professional Writing (Multimedia Track). During her time at UCSB, she was involved in the student-run news publication, The Daily Nexus, and was editor-in-chief for the creative literary arts magazine, The Catalyst. Jasmine is intrigued with revolutionizing the art of storytelling through different mediums and explored this by jumping into various creative projects as a student. Her interests include traveling, writing, reading works by women of color, conscious consumerism, and nostalgia as a form of human connection. Currently, Jasmine resides in the South Bay area of Los Angeles, working in social media, content, and brand marketing. 

Jasmine provided technical and design support to support a publication funded by the Global Latitudes Project. In specific, she leveraged Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop to bring the publication to life using design elements and typography.
