Leah Sherine Fullerton (she/her) recently graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychological & Brain Sciences and a Spanish minor. In 2022, she got certified in Intersectional Justice Facilitation and led programs of community care, mindfulness, regenerative agriculture, and social justice as a Programmer for the UCSB Women’s Center. In 2023 she conducted research in Chile on cultural memory, organizational structure, and healing methods in Santiago poblaciones and presented to the National Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Upon her return to UCSB, she reacquainted with the Isla Vista Food Forest as a mutual aid community member and worked to support and connect marginalized groups on campus as the Outreach Coordinator of the Associated Students (A.S.) Student Commission on Racial Equity. She presently works in Dr. Jonathan Schooler’s Mindfulness, Emotion, Thought, and Awareness (META) Lab on the effects of mindfulness on personality traits and support efforts in developing a mindful curiosity app. Leah loves to explore new places and is a nature lover with no green thumb.
